DANIEL MERLOT Creator and main producer for Crash Berlin.For the last 10 years Dan Merlot has been a vital player in the breaks-electro scene in California .Ever since organizing an ongoing series of successfull events in San Francisco back in 1994 that included top break deejays, performance artists and live music Merlot then expanded to hosting the same type of events in Tokyo and Los Angeles.While out in Tokyo Merlot hosted t.v. shows such as MTV countdown, BBC specials on the Tokyo music scene and the popular Megalamaniacs on the music channel Space Shower T.V.He also toured and played on Japans biggest electronica festivals in front of crowds of up to 10,000 people.

Producer,deejay and musician Merlot has produced tracks with people such as Mad Proffessor,Aquasky,Perry Farrell,and Kool Keith,Nick Jago( Black rebel Motorcycle Club) and Milla Jovovich.

Merlot has played alongside ,toured,opened for or collaborated with such types as Peaches,Bjork,Guns n Bombs,Junior Senior,Justice,Lee Scratch Perry ,Aquasky,Freq Nasty,Aphex Twin,Dj Spooky,Janes Addiction (touring dj), Kool Keith,Dj Tsyoshi,The Black Ghosts, etc.
The summer 2003 he completed a 30 city tour american tour with the revitalized Lollapalooza festival deejaying and producing cutting edge performance ideas with Perry Farrell.He also played 3 years in a row at the at Miami's Ultra Music Festival .

Crash Berlin has produced and hosted for the last 2 years (2007 & 2008 ) 3 succesfull events at Austin's SXSW .Line ups that he has booked have included Peaches ,Guns n Bombs,The Black Ghosts,Junior Senior,The Horrors,Crystal Castles,Bonde De Role,Shout Out out Out,Har Mar Superstar,Winter Kids,Dandi Wind,The Gray Kid,Fluo Kids,Aaron la Crate,Sway etc.

Currently Crash Berlin is working on a new album with co producers Aquasky(uk) and Pink Enemy(l.a.) set to be released in 2009.He is also producing an industrial rock dance album for recently signed Interscope artist Street Drum Corps.Street Drum Corps was personally signed onto Interscope by Jimmy Iovine and was a main stage act on the Projekt Revolution tour with Linkin Park,Bravery,Cris Cornell 2008

Crash Berlin is also currently producing a solo album for Nick Jago (Black Rebel Motorcycle Club) which includes the members of BRMC and The Duke Spirit.

Crash Berlin also had produced a track to be released thru Dallas Austin's label on Universal for Pink Enemy's debut album to be released at the beginning of 2009.

Crash Berlin is also the touring Dj/musician with the super buzzed electro-funk outfit Afrobots.
